I put the electrical tape on the steel shaft (3 turns) after I removed the original rubber piece. I slipped the cover on over the electrical tape and tightened the "very small" allen piece to hold it in place. I then went on an 80 mile trip and when I returned home I noticed it was missing. Second one was installed the same way except I used the glue (not included---neither was the "very" small allen wrench). It has stayed in place. MAKE SURE TO USE GLUE!!
