Cut off old cover with box cutter . Add tape as suggested not to much as it will, cause rubber inserts in peg to protude. Super glue and fit and tighten. Only bugger was this and the brake cover both use IMPERIAL allen keys and we use Metric down at the bottom of the earth. So now have a full set of Imperial Allen keys Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(5 stars) reviewed on 10/08/09 byRumzi (stevehale) from Jackson, MI, United States, for a 2002, Custom paint (black/blue) 1500 Vulcan Mean Streak wrote: Looks good and feels comfortable. I cut the stock shift peg rubber cover off, leave just the exposed shift peg metal. I used some Gorilla glue to mount the new peg cover. There is a tiny set screw that just pushes the new cover off center (looks goofy) and doesn't hold all that well. The gorilla glue (used sparingly), expanded, held tight, and self-center the cover. It's been on for over two years and many thousand of miles and still attached just fine. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
