(3 stars) reviewed on 04/09/10 bygene knudson (sabregene) from portland, OR, United States, for a 2004 1100 Shadow Sabre wrote: I put this on my 04 sabre,it fell off within 100 miles. Lucky for me I saw it go,I stopped & retrieved it. I slid a piece of auto fuel line over the raw shifter lever ,then got some SHOE GOO shoe repair glue loaded the peg cover up & slid it over the fuel line. Now it will take a miracle to get that sucker off! Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Loooks good just hope it holds up. I did have to add a little electrical tape to the shifter fefore install per the installation instructions. I do like the item just wish it was chrome and had a better set screw. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(5 stars) reviewed on 03/18/09 byFrank (fd1949) from Mango, FL, United States, for a 2001 1100 Shadow Sabre wrote: This makes the shifter peg a little larger than the original peg. The original is a little on the small side and this helps for a more positive "shift". This does fit my 2001 Shadow Sabre 1100, follow the instructions and use some "tape" to build up the shaft diameter that the peg cover will slip over to make a tighter fit. It is a little longer too which makes shifting easier. It adds a dressy look between my flame pegs and highway pegs. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(1 stars) reviewed on 07/29/06 byHerb R (AFCOLONEL) from Salado, TX, United States, for a 2000, Candy Red 1100 Shadow Sabre wrote: I would not recommend this Kuryakyn Shift Peg Cover since it is made entirely out of plastic. I installed it on my Honda Shadow Sabre and the second time I rode the bike it cracked and now must be replaced with something else. The installation was also difficult since it would not fit over the stock shift peg with the rubber cover in place. The instructions say to remove the rubber cover, wrap the metal peg with electrician's tape, and then apply super glue when slipping on the new shift peg cover. Did all that but it did not last! This shift peg cover is square. You can't put a round peg in a square hole. Sure, it could be made to work, but after a week's agrivation, I took it off.
