Initially worked like a charm. Shortly after installing- NOT!! Install directions from Kuryakan are minimal, as is typical of their products generally. Requires cutting the wiring, so make certain you have the wiring diagram, and some confidence. The install went was fairly easy and took approximately 1 hr, mostly to confirm the wiring and re-wrap/protect the wires. NOTE: You MUST have the KY-4814 RED 1156 bulbs (or red lenses), which are sold as EACH. ADDITIONAL NOTE: Sortly after this review I began having problems with shorting of entire tail/brake circuit. I kept farting around with it, checking continuity, ground, etc. because I really like the concept, but ultimately had to yank the unit as it just wouldn't work. I noted some capacitor swelling on the board when I finally decided to ditch it. The unit actually isn't made very well. I'd recommend going with SDC! This product was a waste of money and time.

tucked wiring in rear fender. I love it. really brightens the back of the bike at night. and the flash feature is great for getting the attention of all behind you.

Highly recommend. Works as advertised and I like the additional light that this device provides to the back of the bike. Mine was installed by a dealer who did it the right way with solder. The biggest decision was to decide where to put it. It must be run under the seat which mine was (on the right hand side). It is disappointing that Kuryakyn now offers this as a plug in unit for Honda but not for Kawasaki. The ability to have flashing brake lights as well is a nice bonus feature.

Makes the back of your bike 3x brighter, since the stock turn signals are run at low wattage as extra running lights. Also, the flashing 4x when hitting the brakes definitely makes the bike MUCH more visable when braking. Don't use their crimp on ends, solder wires instead, unless you plan on removing it.
