These mirrors are sick. The look of my bike was improved 100% just by getting rid of the sensibly large, round, eyesores that were the stock mirrors. The horizontal visual area is actually larger than stock mirrors, you only lose the vertical; and unless you're concerned about rear incoming aircraft then that's not much of a problem.
