I am not sure if it was becouse the other was worn so badly, or if this was just that much of a step up Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(2 stars) reviewed on 08/07/10 bySmooth (jamfunkr) from Oklahoma City, OK, United States, for a 2007 1800 VTX1800T (Tourer) wrote: Dresses up the original pegs nicely but a bit of a pain to install. You must remove the rubber off the shift pegs, apply tape to the proper thickness to accomodate the Kuryakyn peg covers, and then install glue and a small set screw. These peg covers look good but have never worked as well as I would have liked. They tend to spin around, the set screw has come loose and actually fell out now, and the rubber portion will occasionally poke all the way through the chrome which requires re-seating the rubber. (5 stars) reviewed on 05/16/10 byBen Cagley (bcagley) from Oliver Springs, TN, United States, for a 2004 1300 VTX1300R (S) Retro wrote: Installed these on my VTX1300. These covers are made to install on round pegs rather than the flat pegs on a VTX. I ended up cutting off the flat pegs, drilling and tapping the shift lever and installing stainless studs for the covers to fit properly. This was a little extra work but the finished product is a great look that compliments other ISO items installed on my bike. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I wish they made one for the brake pedal side. Install is very easy if you follow directions. Some say the glue doesn't work too well, but time will tell. Nice Product, easy to install. The down side is that the bottom rubber piece seems to pull out on theend when shifting. a little Grip tight (glue) fixes this, but not perminant.
