(2 stars) reviewed on 04/19/08 by Glenn (Proko) from Canonsburg, PA, United States, for a 2001 Black/Chrome 1100 V-Star Classic wrote: These are the adapters you need if you have a v-star. the floorboards recommend the ky-8815. if you read the ky-8815 closely they tell you that it fits only foot boards with part number other than what you are ordering. also, if you read the fitment details it states the ky-8815 is are the adaptors you need. In short they make it diffucult. Also, these adapotrs use 2 small set screws which stabalize/remove the verticle play. i question how they will hold up and am assuming it is a good idea to keep spare set screws onboard. my opinion these are a 1 size fits all bikes adaptor and if you read they are for most bikes. the manufacturer should consider making bike specific adaptors for the yamaha machines in this case as performance is micky mouse in my opinion.
