They look great but I admit that I do not use the heel switch (creates a weird angle)...just the regular peg.

great add-on, attached to the Kuryakyn Cruise Peg Mounts part 4540 out of the Kuryakyn cataloge. I bought direct since I could not find them on CC site. Little bit of flex but still a great ride.

If you like footpegs over a floorboard but would like to have a little more comfort on a long ride then this is the way to go. I had these on my Vulcan and really enjoyed having the flip out heel support on those long rides, and with just a flick of the toe you can fold it back in for city stop and go driving. If they have any flaw at all it is that the right side mounts with a normal right hand thread and should have a left hand thread to keep the Switchblade from loosening up. However, bearing lock "Lock Tight" and drying time solves this problem if you torque the bolt really tight.

These should make long runs more comfortable. Your feet shouldn't feel like they might rotate around the peg and drop painfully against the ground if you loose concentration. However, due to poor engineering, there is that dangerous possibility with the right side footpeg. Kuryakyn used "normal" thread direction on both left and right sides. Short of welding, it's impossible to lock the right side peg to keep it from rotating on the bolt in the loosening direction. When the "switchblade" is open, it promotes even more torque to be applied to the adjusting bolt which cannot stay tight. As the locking friction releases virtually without hesitation or warning, the possibility of injury is almost certain. The left side thread tightens with foot pressure. I used a moto tool to roughen the matting surfaces and with blue LocTite it stays better. However, the right side should have been reverse threaded. Poorly engineered as is, it will never be fail safe. I strongly suggest a RECALL! UP...
