(Hint: Mount these before you mount the matching spark plug covers.) Changes sound of transmission noticeably and starter sound will be amplified. Some people are bothered by this, but not me. I almost didn't bother with this hunk of chrome, but decided to "go chrome" more and more as I kept adding it. It may be my imagination, but the transmission whine seems louder after the cover was added. I think the cover acts a bit like a resonance chamber, amplifying the noise... or I might be crazy. Have only had for a week or so (10/4/2003) but it really fills the void, especially on the right side of the Lady. The install was pretty straight forward. Had to play around with the Master Cylinder bolt hole and the hole from an angle brace to get it right. I ended up putting the Brace on top of the MC bolt hole. It worked out fine after that.
