Well, very easy install considering I thought this would be complicated. I used a fishing rod to run the cable back to the under seat battery. That meant I just had to prop the tank up on a small block of wood at the back while I did this. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Comes with a 10 amp blade fuse which might be needed to change to a 15 amp if you wish to power up a tyre compressor eg Slime unit 40020 which has an inbuilt 15 amp fuse within its own plug for the Kuryakyn unit Review Details Was this review helpful to you? (5 stars) reviewed on 01/15/09 bySid Sydney (SydneySid) from Sydney, , for a 2007 Black 1300 V-Star wrote: Well, not all of us live in the land of SAE. So I went out and purchased a set of SAE hex keys. The next problem was that none of them fitted the screws in the handlebar clamps. Back to the motor accessories store and the guy told me that the screws needed a torque bit rather than an hex key (this was not in the instructions). This type of set-up is designed to be tamper resistant. So I purchased a t-20 torque bit plus socket plus adaptor for my metric spanner set. After that it was just a matter of feeding the cables underneath the tank and then to the battery. Did a bit of research and most people seemed to recommend direct battery connect as I was going to connect it to the tail light cables. It is a well made piece of equipment and fits in with the look of the bike. It is easy to install but just a bit of fiddling around. Make sure it doesn't foul the tank on full lock.
