This helmet lock is solid and has great chrome! I installed it on the left side of the frame right below the upper portion of the highway bars. Perfect location as my helmet hangs off the ground completely away from all heat sources between the highway bars and the front tire. One minor issue is that when the lock is closed (locked), the open end of the little "U"-shaped mechanism rattles. I can imagine how it will rattle when it's on my bike. So, I took some polyolefin heat shrink tubing, cut about 1/2" and slid it over the open end of the "U" making sure that it's not interfering with the latch groove and heated it up to shrink it and voila!...problem solved. No more rattle. Seems Kuryakyn's quality control dept. needs to pick it up a bit but overall, a very nice and functional accessory! I'm thankful that I don't have to carry my helmet everywhere now.

Bought a similar one local and does its job. Kinda bulky looking on my handlebars, but at least it chromed. I used the 'one way' screws but figured I could cut a grove in the head for a flathead screwdriver if I ever needed to remove it. At least I can walk away from the bike now without having to lug around my helmet or worry that someone might take it if left on the bike.

Went on easy. Uni-directional screws make it VERY difficult to reposition should you not like where you mounted it. But, it also helps to keep theives away, and thats the point.
