On a VTX Retro, if I didn't already have the radiator guards installed, I don't think there is any place else to mount it. The latch also rattles a little dependiing on my RPM. Also mounts with tamper-proof screws. You need to make up your mind on a mounting location because once it's on, it won't be easy to move.
