Some had said they placed it on the frame near the radiator but because I have the Cobra Freeway Bars – my helmet won't fit down in there. I could find no place to put it other than on the Handle Bars. I placed it on the left side of the bar near the headlamp high/low switch. It doesn't look too out of place considering the brake fluid reservoir is on the right side and sticking up – now the lock is on the left… also sticking up. The helmet actually fits well there. With the wheel cocked to the left – the helmet sits almost full on the tank. But it's locked. The one problem is that it rattles. The lock doesn't engage snuggly It rattles at city speeds and 'rings' at highway speeds. I have to slip a little piece of paper in there to keep it quite. Its a pain to poke the paper in there every time you unlock your helmet. I wish I spent the extra $20 and got the Helmet Guardian. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Like typical Kuryakyn, instructions where non-existant. But it is pretty easy to figure out. Took other member suggestions and got #8-32 x 1" machine bolts from Home Depot for mounting. The anti-theft bolts provided would limit moving the device to another location or bike. And if a thief wants to spend the time unscrewing the new bolts then good luck.....
