Not as cool as it looks, it sticks out from the engine much farther than the picture shows and the chrome could be better. Overall I really don't care for it much. I won't leave it on and consider the money spent a loss.

Just put this on yesterday. Bought it at my local bike shop. Listed on the package that it will fit all 1500VN's with after market air kit. Brought it home and found that the horn mount for the Mean Streak is different than other Vulcan 1500's. After some drilling and modification, got it to fit but it stuck out way to far! Remounted the horn in original location and mounted the v-shield, slightly modified to fit much closer to the cylinders, and it looks pretty cool. A little disappointed that I couldn't mount the horn behind it but not that big of a deal. I will have to figure something out with the hotn though because I plan to install a chin cowling and have the radiator shroud paint matched to the bike and the cowling. Definitely would not look as good with the horn still there.
