Looked like a good idea and not expensive. They work great. On the Vulcan Classic the Engine Guard is the same angel as the down tubes. At this angle the air goes over them easier than some others with their more upright bars.

I got these for a 300 mile road trip last year where the temps were in the low 40's. They do keep the wind off your legs and make for a MUCH warmer ride! They also work great in the rain as it keeps a lot the water off your legs. However... if you plan on putting these on and riding at interstate speed be aware that these puppies act like BIG sails! They catch a lot of cross wind (not to mention the head winds)and can move you around in your lane so just be careful! You'll loose a little in gas milage too. I love them for colder weather but since I live in FL I don't get to use them much!
