(5 stars) reviewed on 06/10/10 bySpyke (spikespike) from Latonia, KY, United States, for a 2006 650 V-Star Silverado wrote: Truly the best looking bar I've seen. A little more expensive than most but well worth it. Very stylish and also adds a lot of chromium to the front. It balances out my bike width wise because of the saddle bags in the rear and now the bars in the front. The blue led lights on my engine sparkle off the chrome bars at night. The black rubber rings also add more style to the bars. These look good from every angle and cannot find anything bad about them. Installation was not too difficult and the horn I mounted on the center bolt bracket provided, added the extra length of wiring and turned it upside down. Now the horn is centered underneath the bracket. Looks very good with the chrome horn cover I purchased recently. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Really protect the bike in a low speed situation or accidental fall while parking. The bike will touch the ground only with the guard and the rear tire. Nothing else. I am to short to actually put my feet up on them as I'm 5'4" but if the bike ever goes over they will pay for themselves by protecting the engine. I did read a review where a guy said he had them hit the road while leaning around a cornor. I find this had to believe. You'd have to really be tipping the bike pretty far over to get them to hit the road. I tested them out on a very nice "s" curve on my way to work and they don't even come close and I was leaning the bike nicely into the curves. Only took about half an hour to install and didn't even need the extension wires that come with them.Any questions about the email me. I put these puppies to the test one day. Totally my fault. I got distracted and didn't notice the light in front of me had turned red. A pickup coming from the other direction started to take a left in front of me.I hit the brakes and leaned the bike hard to the left to try to go around the back of the truck. The bars... (3 stars) reviewed on 04/09/08 by(benwade) from , , for a 650 V-Star Custom wrote: This is small for the bike. The horn fits best bolted to the mount. I also had to buy longer bolts to mount the bars to the frame. Laying legs over the top of the bars is the most comfortable position. Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. To avoid forks hitting the bar just make sure you installl it with the tongue of the bar behind the mount supplied - easy day. The horn is best mounted on the mount also rather that by instrauction. This is a great piece to add! Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
