John Nasche (Klixtle) from Tallahassee, FL, United States, for a 2001 800 Intruder wrote: Another reader said on this site, “It's not the prettiest luggage rack, but it gets the job done”. That echoes my sentiments exactly. I will add this to what the description says about the rack though. Mine actually screwed in under the rear fender and looks like it was “professionally installed” at the factory. I didn't have to cut the rack in any way, and it's as rock solid as I would expect any piece of my equipment added to my bike to be. I guess I could have spent more and got a better quality rack, but it serves its purpose of holding my “sissy bag” off the rear light and is nice shiny chrome. It's not great, but it's not horrible either. Review Details 3 out of 3 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I had to cut the back two legs off because of the way it mounted onto the underside of the fender, and when I would hit really hard bumps, the mount would hit the fender. Spend the money and get either the Cobra, or the OEM. Review Details 1 out of 2 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I out it on in about 30 min. have to remove seat and side covers, plus light bracket and drill one hole in fender to install. not too bad if your good at DIY. but kinda of a pain if not. First of all you have to Drill a hole through your fender for the center mounting. Second it is ulgy ( I knew it was ulgy but bought it anyway because I got it cheap on e-bay.$54) Thirdly it is not as easy to mount as it should be. I plan to use it for one major trip then remove it. Review Details 2 out of 2 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
