Difficult to install, my boyfriend had to remove the exhaust and the engine guard brackets were not lining up properly. Had to bend the brackets in a vice to get them properly aligned. Engine guard is a little small too but it is the biggest available for my bike. I wish cobra made a guard for older intruders as cobra seems to be of much better quality. It looks good on but if you have a choice I would go with something else.

I got mine used (and a little rusty, nothing a little steel wool couldn't fix) from an auction website, but I was on a tight budget, and needed some engine guards. I'm a big guy (6'2", 225lbs, size 13 boot) on a smallish bike, so I have had some trouble with my o-ring pegs leaving my heel touching my shifter. Ordered some Kuryakyn Dually Footpegs with Offset mounts to move my feet a little farther forward. I wish the engine guard was a little bigger, but you can't have everything.

Very solid feel, looks good. The bars are a little tricky to get on, but overall installation is very easy. If you plan on adding highway pegs, note that the engine guard is not directly vertical. The bars are also rather close to the shifter and brake, so anyone who wears anything larger than a men's 9 may want to think twice. Smart buy-

Added a great look to my bike. But I had to get a little bit bigger engine mounting bolt because the one that came wasn't quite big enough.
