Goes on very easy and looks nice. Solid chrome on the entire peice. Remounting the horn is much easier then the other reviews on this site seem to let on. 15 minutes from the box to complete install. I put on some kurykyn highway pegs that help the ride as well. They look nice together and the 1 1/4" bar is true to size and the pegs fit well.

Installation was easy, put in top center bolt first, and bottom bolts lined up perfectly. Took about 15 minutes after i got the tools laid out. Horn relocation was easy and works just fine. Chrome looks good. I put the pegs on and went for a test ride, nice to have another foot placement option as well as engine protection.

WARNING: This is a great Engine Guard/Highway Bar, but they do not tell you that once the horn is relocated that it will hit the fender. It took me nearly two years to figure out that the paint damage on the rear of my front fender was caused by the relocation to the bracket of my engine guard (clearance between the horn [with Show Chrome Horn Cover] after relocation is only 3", to where the front retracts by more than 3 1/2"). I fixed this problem by getting a KUR 1 1/4" P-Clamp and mounting my horn below the right top of the engine guard.

Went on easily and gives the bike the look I wanted. Mounting hardware is not like the picture. Comes with 3 bolts. One for remounting the horn and two for mounting it to the bike.

VTX1300C - Only engine guard available at the time I acquired my 13C - but as usual, didn't "quite" fit properly -- a 2nd pair of hand and some different bolts plus some slight bending of the top bracket and remounting of the stock horn made it fit. Gosh, why can't they get it right and designed properly the first time. ADDENDUM - had to experience a ditch due to an idiot... the guard bent beyond repair as these don't seem to be 'harden' steel.. which I worried about when I got them -- they should have been HEAVIER if harden. Now I know. Replaced with the Nat.Cycle engine guard which fit very well needing only longer (3") bolts for the bottom mounts - and these bars ARE HEAVY.
