A Memphis Shades Batwing Fairing is a stylish and practical addition to your Harley Davidson or Metric Cruiser. Not only do they look extremely cool by giving your bike an instant "bagger" look, but they offer comfort, protection and storage that you just cannot get from a naked bike. If you ride your motorcycle frequently, you have surely been on a ride where the weather suddenly turns nasty. A Batwing Fairing deflects wind and rain away from the most critical parts of your body allowing you to ride out the storm without freezing your butt off. A Batwing Fairing also provides protection from road debris such as rocks, sand or sticks kicked up by other vehicles. This is especially important when wearing a half helmet, an open face helmet, or no helmet at all. If you have ever been hit in the face, chest, arms or hands by flying debris, you know that it is not a pleasant experience.

Adding a Tri-Pouch gives you extra storage space that is easily accessed without getting off of your bike and allows you to keep your valuables within site as your ride. Add a stereo system to your Batwing Fairing and you will have a truly pimp’n ride. A Batwing Fairing is easily mounted and removed using a no hassle Trigger Lock Mounting Kit (Sold Separately). Batwing Fairings can be painted to give your bike a truly custom look, or you can run them out of the box with their standard gloss black finish.

Memphis Shades exclusive No-Tool Trigger-Lock mount kits feature a detach system that allows you to quickly and easily remove or install your fairing. Trigger-Lock kits are a combination of CNC machined, black or polished aluminum plates, gray polymer bushings and glass filled nylon latches for a clean appearance that is built to last.

Batwing Fairings are pre-drilled and fitted with push-out hole plugs for easy wind deflector installation which provide increased downward air flow. Windshields are available in four heights and seven translucent colors, plus clear and solar (a light tint with 72 percent visible light transmission), and several trims for added style are also available. It all starts with a Batwing Fairing. Bag yourself one today!

Notes: This is Only the Fairing! Mounting Kits and Windshields are Sold Separately. Batwing Fairing is not compatible with any other fairing windshields, wind deflector or accessories. Fairing measures 16 inches high.

Softail models listed that already have a Memphis Fats or Slim windshield installed can use their existing Trigger-lock mount kit to install a Batwing Fairing, or purchase a plate-only kit and switch back-and-forth from Fats or Slim windshield to Batwing Fairing.

What To Order:

  • Batwing Fairing
  • Trigger-Lock Mount Kit specific to bike model; some Softail models may require a turn signal relocation kit.
  • Windshield of your preference; available in multiple colors and heights.

Made in the U.S.A.

Great wind protection

Fitted this to the better half's Honda shadow VT750. Easy install. Half hour tops. Sharon loves the fact it comes off so easy As she does not want this on in the summer time. It needed the lower deflectors. Buffering was horrible. I have the 7" screen on It just coming on to dark. It's not to cold at 14 °c. I was not feeling any wind in the hole upper body area & my face. Now I moved my hands out to the sides of the bad wing more then a hand grip length before I felt the wind. I had fingerless gloves on. Lifting my self up of the seat about 3" I felt the wind in my face with open face helmet on. My body sitting on the floor to the top of my head is 35" or 900mm. I was wearing a light long sleeve shirt. I could fell the wind coming around on the back of my arms. I can fell wind on my lower legs still. I was wearing normal jeans. Them lower deflectors have done the job. No more buffering. Over all for the half hour ride, I was a hole lot more comfortable than a ride up to the loca...

The installation was easy and it looks great.  It took much longer to take off the stock Honda windscreen than to install this part.  I really like how it looks and the ability to remove or install the windscreen in minutes.

Nice Fairing!

Bought this to replace the windshield, and very happy I did! The Batwing was actually pretty easy to install. I just made sure to loosely install the mounting brackets, then set the fairing onto them and adjusted until the look and fit were right. I've done three rides since installing, all in windy, cool spring conditions, and even before installing the lower deflectors, I notice a significant difference in "quiet" air. I'm just a shade under 6' tall, and I ordered the 9" windshield with this fairing, and the height appears to be perfect for me. I had it painted to match the colour scheme on the bike and added the large zipper tri-pouch.

    Hello,
Unfortunately it does not look like Memphis Shades has a mounting kit for the M50 models. So this would not work on your bike. Also, I did a quick search to see if we have any other options for fairings for that bike and came up empty. I'm sorry to say we don't have any options when it comes to fairings for the M50. I'd recommend checking with a company called Tsukayu at tsukayu.com. They might have something. Also, I know Corbin makes fairings for some Suzuki models as well. Check them out at corbin.com.
