(5 stars) reviewed on 04/12/13 byVert (ravenvstar) from Charlotte, NC, United States, for a '08 1300 V-Star wrote: A Badass Fairing!I love it. Installation was great - 'cause I roped my neighbor into helping. It adds so much style to my bike that it feels totally different. I get a lot of compliments on it, too, which always makes you feel like you made the right choice. (NOTE: I went from no fairing and a full-face helmet and had to buy a half helmet to reduce the head buffeting...keep that in mind if you buy one. I am rocking the 9" gradient black windscreen and black lowers, as well.) I rock ear plugs, so no reason for me to get the available HogTunes, but there is a space for that. Get the fairing and love it, too. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(4 stars) reviewed on 01/23/11 bySid Sydney (SydneySid) from Sydney, , for a 2007 Black 1300 V-Star wrote: I had a hard time installing this on my Yamaha XVS1300A. Firstly the brackets that attach to the bike were too long. I had to grind off the ends to make them fit. Maybe something had changed with the model. My model is a 2007, the first release, and maybe the newer models have a slightly different configuration. Next, the right hand bracket fouled the guide for the brake lines so I had to try and move the guide slightly. Not quite as easy as it sounds. Dropped several washers whilst trying to hold 2 washers behind the plate that attaches to the motorbike. Where do washers go when they die? I couldn't find them so maybe they are rattling around in the bike somewhere. After I took a break and calmed down by waiting a day and re-reading the installation guide, the rest of the install went smoothly enough. Then I did a road trip of about 500 kilometres and was very pleased with the result. I have Nostalgia handle bars on the bike and they stick out further than the OEM ... (5 stars) reviewed on 05/08/10 byChris Geroy (cgeroy) from Mitchell, SD, United States, for a 2007 Candy Red 1300 V-Star wrote: I just added this to my 2007 V-Star 1300 this week after using the OEM windshield for 2 years. The buffeting with the old windshield was horrible. I'm 6'5" so I bought the 12" windshield and the buffeting was reduced by more than 50%. Today I added the lower wind deflectors and I'd estimate the total improvement at 90% from the OEM. An absolute joy. I live in South Dakota so the winds we have here make it feel like someone's trying to shove you off the bike all the time. This is a must have! Riding in 20mph winds today at 70mph, all I felt was a light breeze and I could wear my ballcap without it blowing off. I wondered about paining it to match my candy red bike, but after asking a lot of friends, they all said it looks great as is. That saved me another $200. I added the slotted chrome trim and its one classy looking bike. Quit reading and buy one now!
