Bought the Big Shot last fall which gives better torso coverage. Review Details 3 out of 3 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I dont like the look of windshields but this one isnt bad and its worth the protection and wind blockage. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

A little more buffeting in the helmet area than I hoped for, but appears to be in line with what the Memphis Shades website indicated. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(5 stars) reviewed on 04/01/07 byAce (fauvin) from Des Moines, IA, United States, for a 2005 1600 Vulcan Mean Streak wrote: Looks great. I got the gradiant-black windshield with 7" cutout, which fits great on the mean streak. I also got the plates-only kit (mem9874) since I already had the fork mounts with my Fats windshield. Now I can quick change between the two. I wanted to try a more sleek, sporty look. I mounted the lowers with the brackets flipped around so they are tucked in between the headlight and turn signals (look sleeker). The windflow in a bit more but even - so i'm happy. (5 stars) reviewed on 01/13/06 byKen (kenfurlow) from El Sobrante, CA, United States, for a 2004 Kawasaki 1600 Vulcan Mean Streak wrote: I've used the 2 inch shorter "Alley Cat" sheild for a couple of years now and have been very pleased with it. But its amasing how much smoother 2 inches can make things at freeway speeds. Both shields use the same fork mounts so I can switch back and forth quickly. I still like the looks of the "Alley Cat" best so I'll probably use it as my everyday windshield and switch to the "Big Shot" for any long distance freeway riding. Something I have discovered about these windshields is that if you remove the mounting brackets, the rubber grommets used to attach them will likely rip and tear. Memphis Shades (which is a wonderful company) will send you new ones for free, but it will take the US Postal Service about a week to get them to you. So be prepared if you plan to disassemble your shield for cleaning. Review Details 7 out of 7 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
