For those times riding without the shield, ensure to tightly hand fasten (or remove) the quick change nuts that fasten the shield to the fork assembly, or you'll find them missing from ride vibration and faced with a $115.00 cost of replacement to the mount hardware! I bought the Alley Cat shield w/ black bottom for my '08 Suzuki M50. The correct mounting kit for this model number is: M9937. Installation was not too bad, it just takes a bit of fiddling to adjust and understand the lay of the land... Comes with 2 different hex wrenches, and seems solid enough to withstand the road. 4 independent clamps with a single hex screw in each; 2 per fork. Fork mount should be more stable then handle bar, i'll let you know if this is true. Gave 3 stars for value- as i too believe this should be included witha shield or discounted with one.
