(5 stars) reviewed on 02/27/09 byTed Johnson (gasgrunt71) from Cantonment, FL, United States, for a 2007 600 Shadow VLX wrote: Well my wife bought this for my birthday for me..Initially , the installation was a bit tricky..Kind of hard to get it just right on the first try..I found on my second attempt to install it that if you put the support rods on the sheild first and then figure out where to put the handlebar mounts it is a bit easier..At 14 inches it would be a little to short for someone that might be taller than my 5'4"..I am well pleased.. There is a little buffeting around 55 but nothing I can't get used to. Review Details 0 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I had to chunk it ! I put on a Kawasaki OEM shield for a Vulcan 750 that mounts to the forks and handlebars and solved the problem. Review Details 2 out of 2 members found this review helpful. (4 stars) reviewed on 09/29/03 byLynn Beech (Puddin) from Laurel, MS, United States, for a 2000 600 Shadow VLX wrote: I originally thought I wanted a bigger windshield. But after riding with this windshield installed, I really like it. It gives me enough protection, but I can still see over it. That really helped in the rain the other day! (4 stars) reviewed on 06/16/03 byJack (jwhitt11) from Tumbling Shoals, AR, United States, for a 600 Shadow VLX wrote: Good qualiy materials and workmanship. Solid feel and bolts down solidly. Instructions could be more detailed with more specific illustrations and suggestions for best windshield angle to manage wind. A bit of a challenge to adjust if working alone. Tighten screws enough to hold but loose enough to move by hand until you get it where you want it. Then tighten down securely all around. Review Details 2 out of 2 members found this review helpful. (4 stars) reviewed on 05/19/03 bysouthernvlx (southernvlx) from Bryant, AR, United States, for a 2005 600 Shadow VLX wrote: Very nice shield and takes all the wind off chest area. If adjusted properly, no head buffeting. Nice size shield for the VLX. Adds a custom look without overpowering the lines of the bike. Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. (4 stars) reviewed on 09/27/01 byJake Bratt (DaBratt) from Walker, MI, United States, for a 600 Shadow VLX wrote: This is a great little windshield for the VLX. I never noticed how much it helped until I tipped my bike over (it was parked and I bumped it by accident) and the windshield broke. Now I am looking to replace the shield since longer rides are tiring, and with the colder weather approaching, my midsection is noticebly cooler on rides. The shield was on the bike when I bought it, hence the great price. It is still a good value even at full price. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
