The one I recieved doesnt mount around the forks but mounts bolted to the upper and lower triple tree. More like the picture on the mount discribed for the Batwing fairing. I thought these were going to have quick release latches, but you actually have to use an allen wrench to get the shield off. Not like its a big deal, it would only take a few seconds to do. Although the headlight and signal lights must be removed to install it takes about an hour to complete. Once on and aligned the windshield takes a minute or less to remove.
