I read other review saying that you can tell the difference from the OEM tire immediately after install, I thought that was balony. It's true you can feel immediately and to tell you the truth I didn't like it at first it was such a change. Put some miles on them and my mind was changed. These tires are high performance turning handling machines. They handle bumps and rough roads much better. Other reviews indicate much better in the rain have not experienced that yet but I would believe it. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

You can tell the difference instantly! The OEM Bridge Stones was ok but these things are way better. The mileage is about the same but everything else is way better with the Met. You can feel a big difference as soon as you roll out on the new tires. Put a 180 on the rear instead of the stock 170. Fits just fine. Worth the money without a doubt. The sheen is burned off and I am starting to take turns a little tighter and faster. There is a slightly taller sidewall on this tire than stock. It has helped to correct a speedometer error and has lowered by RPM at 70mph slightly. After 60 miles I am beginning to appreciate the performance upgrade from the stock Bridgestones. I used to hear and feel what I thought were the front wheel bearings when I was into a turn. As it turns out the Bridgestones had a sidewall with tread that made a vibration and sound that resembled a failing wheel bearing. Thats gone now. It sort of feels like the difference from your old newspaper delivery bike and then riding a nice ten speed. There seems to be a finer point of balance that gives the bike a taste of "sport bike". They do ride a bit harsh. I have been running my rear shocks at a 4 setting but will go down to 2-3. The dealership balanced the wheels. The stock wheels were never... But I kept them untill I had 12.5 k miles on them. Front tire could get maby another 3 or 4k but back was cupped pretty good. So I changed them both. These Metzelers are something else. No comparason the the stones. I think I can turn on a dime now. They grip so good that I was acually scared of them for the first 5 miles or so. You know those tar lines in the road that you bike wants to follow, with these tires the bike does not follow them any more, FANTASTIC!!. I only got about 6 miles on them as of now, the rains came in big time this week. I will do an update after this weekend. I should be getting about 200 miles on them at least. There is still plenty of room under the fender, could have went with the 200 wide. Review Details 5 out of 5 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
