With the windshield on & no helmet (no fairing), I have quality audio above the posted limit on the interstate. Many riders following me have noted the fine quality as well! ;) The only issue I've noted is the lack of added protection where the wire runs thru the hollow mounting bolt. I'd recommend you disassemble the speaker and install a single layer heat-shrink tube over the wires to avoid shorting out later. My wires get bumped and tweaked when stuffing a jacket between the windshield and handlebars, resulting in extra stress on the wires. Check your installation point and adjust accordingly. One of the speakers stopped working. I sent the speaker back to MH, they said they fixed it but when I hooked it up to the bike it still did not work. I've sent it back to be repaired again. (paying shipping again) I can no longer recommend this problem unless they fix it soon. Original review is below: The speakers look good and sound good. They took about 6 hours to install but we did not run into any problems installing them. I can hear them up to about 75mph. Review Details 3 out of 3 members found this review helpful. I had to wait a couple weeks for a back-order. Some thoughts: Install: Straight forward with decent instructions. I connected mine to my switched/fused horn circuit. Used the wire that grounds when horn beeps. This cuts off tunes when horn beeped. Nice safety feature. Quality- Appear well made with good chrome quality and h/d appearance. Wiring bulky but solid. Sound: Quite good actually. Now I wish I had quieter pipes Appearance: I like mine on the handlebars. They look like mirrors from the front. Many versatile ways to mount as posted here. Wiring: Plenty supplied but kinda bulky. I wrapped the cable dressings w/ electrical tape to seal. Used chrome tie wrap to secure to handlebars. Looks like a brake cable. I stuffed excess wiring in my instrument bezel for a clean appearance. Sound Source: I'm using a Panasonic all- weather am/fm cassette player. This has 5 am/fm preset buttons and large dials making it easy to use even w/ summer... Review Details 10 out of 10 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
