During wintertime I've worked with this - taking adwise from skilled friends and after testing altered the following; Rewired the thin grey cable for th 12 V in, all the way from amplifier to battery of the bike, with a good area wire. Also made a special heavy groundconnector to the housing and bar, since the barmounting have some rubber isolation. Rewired signalcables to get one, slick lenght, not three bulky connections and a lot of unused cable. Connected my new iPod last week - GREAT!! I'm happy again, but also very critical to the way MHI have manufactured this; to weak wiring for the 12 V, not customized stereocables for a slick mounting and a narrow hole for the cables in to the housing. I used the noise filter and have them wired directly to a switched circuit. I still get a little bit of feedback on some stations. I like the sound and the install was a bit lengthy since I hardwired all connections. Overall, product is made of good quality parts and componants.
