Not for the average installer. I am still having problems with a short and engine noise. I had on speaker go out on me and it was fixed and sent back in a timley manner. They are very bulky andtook some time to get used to, but the music going down the highway beats wind noise.

Looks good. Aiming was critical to be able to hear them well at Highway speeds. Sound Source makes a difference. Cheapy FM radio was unsatisfiing. Sirius Satellite radio ROCKS ! Bass response could be better.

To much money to spend on this. I got a system from Ebay that is almost as good, and alot less money. You will never make something sound really good on a bike, why wast the money on this, when you can spent alot less, for something very close. I will leave the link here for you guys, and ladys.

Don't see how I did without. More than loud enough at any speed. Opperate off of MP3 player clipped to tank bib. Wiring was a little tricky but eventually found a clean way. Found on Ebay brand new for cheaper.

Fabulous! a little on the high treble side, but still great. Overmods with my Sirius radio at the high end, but the high end is TOO loud anyway. Definately has some grounding needs and the filter to silence the fan static. I recommend a switch that can go between hot-wired and wired as accessory.

I'm pretty much of a perfectionist so the mounting of the speakers on my handlebars took a while. Not difficult but time consuming. Also bought 1/2" chrome spacers with a 3/8" ID so that I could face the mounting brackets to the front of the handlebars. Without the spacer or multiple washers for the supplied hardware, the bottom of the speaker will hit the bracket. No biggy, but you'll see what I mean when you mount them. I also dressed the audio and power cables with plastic chrome to match the rest of my front end and ran the power under my tank which necessitated tank removal. Not required but I did it. The fit and finish of the speakers is very good. The sound is excellent for what it is. Just know that you're not going to get earth shaking base out 4 1/2" speakers at high volume. They are plenty loud enough for all but extreme conditions. They are pricey, but the first time you ride down the road tappin' your foot on the floorboard you'll know it was money well ...

These speakers have an incredible sound at any "legal" speeds :-) I could hear the music up to 85 mph with a full face helmet on. They're a great price, they look decent on the handlebars, and they do the job in a big way. A couple notes, to control the volume, I recommend picking up an inexpensive wire headphone control available at radio shack for about 6-8 dollars. To hold the MP3/radio in place, try using a R.A.M. mounting unit available at www.cyclegadgets.com. If you're looking for a great vibration-proof mp3/radio player with lots of storage, try the NexIa player from Frontier Labs. You need to get a CompactFlash (CF or CFII) card for the music. I use 1GB memory (NOT MICRODRIVE!). It keeps plenty of music, and I can upgrade to 2 GB if I need to. For batteries, use the rechargable AA alkalines. Keep an extra pair in your pocket & It's cheaper in the long run.

The only regret I've ever had for getting a bike is not being able to listen to my favorite tunes. These speakers have to be one of the best accessories that I have installed. Either parked or at highway speeds these speakers sound great. My wife can even hear them riding on the back with a full faced helmet on. Most people cannot figure out where the sound is coming from because they compliment the look of the bike. Installation took about 2 hrs but was worth it. Make sure that all connections are tight and are as waterproof as possible. I use an mp3 player with an fm tuner for ease of use.

Fairly easy install. The only down side for me is I have nowhere to clamp my drink holder on long trips. Good sound. I would recommend running a bonding strap from the speaker to the frame as it is grounded through the handle bars. I have HK 3" straight pipes and they are so loud on the freeway that the sound isn't what I was hoping for, but they are great around town and I would imagine they would be fine for anyone running pipes that aren't extreme on the db's.

i actually have J&M's stereo system which blends well with the bike, looks good where it mounts. the mounting is very secure. the only downfall is the lack of tone adjustment but you can hear the radio at full speed and still sounds good. i had a problem after owning mine for more than a year and sent it back to J&M who promptly fixed the damaged part at no charge and returned it with in 3 days. their service to say the least was outstanding. this stereo is pricey though.

Awesome sound! Adds extra chrome to the handlebars where I installed. I'm using them with an iRiver imp-350 CD/MP3/FM player. Cool tunes!
