In this video, Kyle Bradshaw of Cruiser Customizing meets up with Eric of Arlen Ness to discuss proper saddlebag fitment for virtually any motorcycle.
First, start with finding the maximum length of the bag by measuring from the rear turn signal (or furthest back rear obstacle) and measure forward towards the rear foot peg or other forward facing obstacle(s).
Next, find the height or how tall the bag can be by measuring from the exhaust pipes (about 2" above the pipe) to the tallest you would like the bags.
This will give you a general idea about the size of saddlebags that will fit on your bike.
Now... how will you attach them? Do you need standard saddlebag brackets or an Easybracket? Get all the motorcycle saddlebag answers you've been looking for in this Tip of the Week.
Thank you for watching this Cruiser Customizing Saddlebag Fitment Tip of the Week with Arlen Ness.
Until next week, take care and ride safe.
