Opinionated, out-spoken, reserved and somewhat shy in unfamilar crowds; yet true to my convictions and to my friends, would sum it up in short.  I grew up on a farm in Indiana.  Served my country with 4th/23rd Special Forces Fort Richardson, Alaska, during the latter part of the Vietnam War.  Spent most of my career training American Saddlebred Show horses and also worked with Peruvian Pasofinos, Morgans, Arabians, Thoroughbreds and Quarter horses.  I have been in all fifty states of this great country as well as Mexico, Canada, nine islands in the Caribbean, three in Hawaii and two in Fiji.  I am currently simi-retired to a simi truck hauling high, wide and long over-sized commercial air handling equipment.  It may only take two wheels to move your soul...but it takes 18 wheels to move this country.

   My first bike was a 250 Yamaha before I was in the service.  While stationed in Alaska I road a 400 enduro in the cold up the mountains and even through the snow.  For several years after that I was without a bike until I landed a 650 Kawasaki.  Late one night I hit a huge pothole in the dark on a curve and laid it down.  The bike went end over end when I let go of it and was totaled.  Luckily I walked away with a bumbed knee, road rash and a busted helmet.  A few years ago I bought the Honda Spirit shown at the end of my photos and spent a couple of years dressing up.  About the time I got it dressed right I was ready to trade up for a bigger bike.  After Riding a buddy's 1100 V Star I was convinced that it was just the one for me.  While shopping for a deal I found "My Star".  The 1700 Silverado S was more than I was looking for but I made the trade and never looked back.  I ride for peace of mind and soul; sometimes in solitude, sometimes with one friend and sometimes with many; but always with "guardian angels".  Life is a ride.  Be safe and enjoy the ride!

   I hope that you enjoy the pics of all the bikes on this site and that any of you who ride Road Stars and/or Spirits may get some ideas.  I feel a bike can be overdone with accessories if not done to make it all come together.  The only thing wrong with mixing black and chrome is trying to keep it all clean.  Thus...
