My fiance is much more comfortable. It did raise my seat height about 1-2 inches over stock. I am about 5' 9" and now can't stand flat footed at a stop it is not a problem for me but may be for someone shorter. I doesn't push me further forward as how one reviewer stated, this might be the difference between the 1993 Shadow VT1100C and the Shadow Sabre. Very comfortable. It does raise the rider up and forward a little over stock, but it makes up for in comfort big time.
