Take about 10 minutes to install. 5/16 socket to take old pad off, 10mm to put new bolts in. Start all three bolts a couple turns to line up pad. I bought it to match my Mustang Wide-Studded seat with matching Captain's back rest. Looks nice on the bike. Haven't tried it yet with the misses - to gauge comfort, but the style is nice. Installed easily. I have seen a few posts that people had trouble. Just don't tighten the first bolt --- just get them started, then tighten them all. Looks good. It looked funny with the wider drivers backrest on the Mustang seat that I ordered, so I returned it and ordered this one. Neither the stock hardware on the 900 lt (bolts too big for mustang pad) nor Mustang hardware (bolts too short with stock emblem) work. You will need to get new longer smaller bolts than stock. Also the bottom two bolt holes on the Mustang seat are a hair too close together, but if you jiggle, wiggle and sneeze you can get it to work.
