Added the stang seat as soon as possible after that. On the next trip to New Hampshire, seat discomfort was'nt even given a thought . The Mustang seat in my opinion should be the first accessory on any VTX and the driver backrest is a must for anyone with back pain issues. Changed over to the VTX Retro two years ago. First Accessory, The three piece studded touring seat/w backrest. Great workmanship,Great looking seat. Review Details 3 out of 4 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? The ride should not have been to bad only 1100 from Denver, but my butt and back were sooo numb. I picked the seat up in Russiville Arkansas, at the new Huge Honda Dealership. I was looking for a gel pad, but they had the Mustang seat I wanted IN STOCK! They were great there! I got it for $610.00 and the salesman installed it for me in the parking lot, for free. I thought I could do it with my tools from the stock tool pouch. There are some parts that need to be switched and adjusted on the Mustang seat. It probably would have taken me a long time to do this. It took them 20 minutes and we were back on the road in about an hour from when I walked in the door. They even shipped my oem seat to my house1 in Denverfree of charge! THE BEST UPGRADE TO MY VTX TO DATE. The seat does sit you about 1 inch higher and 1 inch forward, but with and without the backrest is so comfortable. It is a completly different feel from the orig... (4 stars) reviewed on 03/10/05 byDoorgunner (daledebord) from Carmichael, CA, United States, for a 2004 1800 VTX1800R (Retro) wrote: Hopefully, it will solve the "back problems" I've encountered with the stock VTX seat. I had to put a Corbin with backrest seat on my GL1100 to solve the same problems, so, I hope this does the trick! So far, this saddle has been very, very comfortable. I like the way the saddle "tucks" you into it and the support the backrest provides. A SNAP to install. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Only had for a few days but can already tell be be diff. in the ride. I have noticed that it makes me have to reach a little more. Was planning on getting risers anyway so I am sure that will solve the reach issue. Highly recommend. Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Comfortable for the passenger right out of the box. We can ride all day. The only complaint is that the driver seat is a little wide up front and doesn't fit well. My 5'8" frame is not really comfortable but riding is great. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
