CruiserCustomizing Staff: Beth (Betharoonieandcheese) from Fremont, CA for a 1972 Schwinn, 1972 Suz T500, 2001Suz SV650 Other Make/Model:

I installed this seat on the Showroom 750 Aero with Kenny (BearKiller). The directions were very clear, and pretty unnecessary. You pull off your stock seat, and install this one. Remove bolts, change seat, replace botls. Pretty simple. I would recommend going against the directions on one point: install the driver's seat first, then intstall the passenger pillion. Just be careful not to scratch the paint. The directions suggest hooking the two parts of the seat together and then installing. Boooo. Hisssss! LAME! Sucks. Also, the fiberglass plate on the bottom of the seat was slightly off on the seat we installed. Either that or the brackets that anchor the seat were a little off. We kept getting the seat close to lining up, but it was always just off enough to keep the bolt from wanting to go it the bracket. Anywho, Kenny had the good idea of sticking a wrench in the mount to line up the seat with the frame before putting the bolt in. Easy as pie after that. As for comfort, I can't really help you out on that part... don't really ride the showroom bike. What I can say is that the backrest makes a HUGE difference. Feels much more comfortable than the stock seat just sitting on the bike. When you're riding, it'll probably take the pressure off your sholders and arms and allow you to kick back and cruise your way down the highway. Enjoy.

After waiting two years to spend the money, I broke down and order the seat after dealing with a soar butt on long rides. I chose mustang seeing there is 98 good reviews. Got seat on and made a 465 mile trip this weekend. The driver seat is ok. Yes I said ok. I was not impressed after my ride. My butt still sore. The driver back rest was nice. The passanger seat she said was a great upgrade and she loved it said no sore ass and was ready to keep riding.
