The driver's back is well supported by the nose of the passenger seat that extends forward to create a full 8.5 inch backrest. The passenger sits comfortably in a bucket that utilizes Mustang's unique internal steel support wings to keep the entire width of the molded foam supported.

Got this for wifeys 650 Vstar. I've never seen an actual Mustang seat up close before, This is one of the finest well made bike items I've ever seen. They aren't cheap but this one piece for the Vstar 650 changed the entire bike. You don't sit on the bike anymore, you now sit "IN" the bike. It's firm, but very comfy, and the back support will be great on short trips, or long hauls. When I orginally looked at these they were over $600 for my bike, but this one was only $400. If you've been thinking about getting a new seat, this is it. Forgot to mention, it took longer to get out the socket set than it did to change out the seats.
