Looks good and it dresses up the look. However the mounting hardware that came with it would not work and I had to buy different hardware and modify the new hardware to make fit the trim.

Looks great out of the box. The fit/installation is a not at all diffiuclt, but....... the chrome finish lasts for only about 90 days in the elements. Apparently, the prep for the metal parts was sloppy, and all three pieces exhibit chrome flaking off. I had even polished, and waxed (using automotive products) the pieces prior to install, so...... take this into consideration before making your purch. I can't tell, from the other prior posts, if this problem is unique, or generic. Short of getting them re-chromed (at waaay too much $$$$'s), I'm not sure what I'll do. Bottom line: Would I do it all over again? Probably not!!!

Adds a lot of class to the looks of the windshield. Glad I don't have to install them everyday though.... getting things lined up right were tougher than I thought it would be. Worth the effort though.

Dresses up the windshield very nicely. Retail price is high for 3 pieces of billet trim and some screws. I got mine for $12 new on e-bay. You have to take the shield off to install. Not difficult; just takes time!

Nice look but the hardware is smaller than stock resulting in the nuts recessing in the brackets. You'll need thin #12 SS washers for proper hole coverage.

The difference between having these and not is striking, especially if you also have a light bar. The clean thick look of billet is beutiful. Its much better than the stock trim which is nothing more than thin chrome plated alloy strips with chrome screws. Based on what I have also read here, the original trim gets rusty after a while, depending on the locale and driving habits. The billet has hidden screws and good weathersealing to prevent that, nice job National. The only beef I had was that the installation was a bit cumbersome, as you needed to line up the screws exactly with all three pieces on the shield or nothing fit. Then you needed to balance the whole windsheild carefully not to scratch it while you juggled the nuts and the backing plates back on. It would have been much better to be able to order from the factory already on the windshield. At $85 for basically three pieces of good billet, its a bit pricey. I would say $50 would have been a more respectable dollar ...
