a bit tricky to put on, have to drill holes, and the template was not the best fit, but not bad, had to file the holes a bit to make it fit, would have rather bought the rail style

Massive crome and looks great but templates that come with the product are no good! Do not trust them, measure several times before drilling. I actually made a template of the fender and predrilled the template to checck the placement of the holes and still had to do some elongation befor it fit. Also very little room between the tire and the nuts of the trim but you can just fit a small wroch in between. I also put some epoxy on the nuts so they would not work loose

Well since I broke down and decided to drill the fenders I figgured why not add one of these also. The directions are ok. The template is junk. Do not bother with it. Take measurements and let the drill rip. Nice product. Heavy, Looks good. I had my front fender off for installation.

I have both front and rear tips. This is a love-hate accessory. It is very well made, heavy, lots of good chrome. However, the instructions are a joke and the "templates" are just pathetic. The guys at National Cycle are certainly not design engineers. Be VERY careful when you install these beauties. Measure and measure again before you drill the slanted holes. Hint: the edge "peak" of the rear fender of the Valkyrie may need to be removed.

Looks great, fits nicely. A good heavy piece of chrome. Be cautious of the template, it is not centered - you'll have to do your own centering. I did a lot of checking and rechecking prior to drilling the holes in my fender.
