Jamie Tomlinson (MazdaFan) from Westport, IN, for a 2007 1600/1700 Road Star wrote: Cuts the wind off my hands so I can ride when the temps are a little lower than is comfortable. UPDATE: After riding with these a couple of months I figured I'd update this review. First, your hands are still going to get cold using these shields. I purchased them hoping they would act as a fairing and keep the "wind chill" to a manageable level. Nope! They are just not the answer. To check the effectiveness, I pulled them off the bike and did a bit of riding, and they DO cut the wind back on the rider, but your hands are still going to hurt in 50* and lower weather. Heated gloves are probably the better solution to riding in cold weather. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

GARY PRITCHARD (gardenbiker) from GAINESVILLE, GA, for a 1996 750 Virago wrote: I was hoping these would fit my 96 Virago and they did after I made brackets that were longer. These are much cheaper than heated gloves or a wider windshield. Maybe one day I'll get me a bike with a batwing. Thought they were overpriced for what you got, but if you want to ride in the cold, you got to pay! Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Steve Metzger (SAMetzger) from Walker, LA, for a 2005 Midnight Black 1600/1700 Road Star Silverado wrote: Since my ride to work is only 18 miles and mostly on interstate highway, I elected to get these instead of dealing with the extra effort and cost of heated gloves. These deflector do what I need them to do: not let my fingertips get stone-cold numb like they did before when I ride in temps as low as 36- or 37-degrees with just insulated gloves. Plus it'll be easy to take them off after winter. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
