They are made of some fairly heavy metal. If you are installing these on a VTX make sure that your windshield mounting bands are about 5/8's of an inch below the tree or the lowers could hit the tank. I have a Rifle l windshield, so I had to drill into the brackets to make these fit. I purchased chrome hardware and everything looks great.
