I admit that I labored over which backrest to get for my VTX 1300. I loved the CONCEPT of "removable" and "lockable", but I wasn't quite sure how it would measure up. Thus far, I have been VERY impressed. This piece is very heavy and the chrome is blemishless. The locking mechanism is simple, yet works flawlessly as well. I was further concerned that the installation would be challenging, but my concerns were ill-founded. 15 minutes and it was on (and that includes my "measure twice, cut once- it can't POSSIBLY be this easy" approach. Time will tell if it will stand up to the rigors of "off and on" that I will take advantage of, but so far, it seems to be of VERY good quality.

Wow! I expected this install to be difficult. At the same time I got Ghost Brackets for my saddle bags and put them both on at the same time. Very easy install. No adjusting, or messing with. Followed the instructions, put the bolts in the the first time alignment was perfect. Again, MUCH easier and accurate install than Cobra sissybar on my first bike. Plus, ITS REMOVABLE!! Comes off in just a few seconds just like the add says. About time for accuracy in advertising. Ghost Brackets (which are not available from Cruiser align much easier than Easy Brackets.

Nice set up...fairly easy to install. To help align everything up, don't tighten bolts all the way until everything is installed.... remember your locktite as well
