They went on very easy - thanks to the previous review tips regarding use of a small flat screwdriver to clip in the bands - and there are no problems with them hitting the tank on full turns. About a 20 minute install. The instructions provide three variations of the torque required to install and your torque wrench should have one of these scales. The only improvement that could be made is if the bands were chromed. Once you have the quick-set bracket on the bike it's literally takes about three seconds to put on or remove the windshield. Installation wasn't too bad. It just takes a little time.
