Installation is fairly simple and the brackets look good even without the windshield. The top and bottom clamps for tapered forks are only made to fit one way. If the clamp doesn't lay flush against the fork or it's difficult to connect the clamp to the spider, then try flipping the clamp over. This detail is not mentioned in the instructions and caused me some problems at first. As mentioned in other reviews, tank clearance is very small. Check that hardware clears the tank before, during, and after tightening hex bolts.
