Don't want to break any pieces. It is nice to just pull and take the windshield off when you need. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

National Cycle's instructions for mounting the Switchblade windshield are very clear and concise. There are very good pictures in the literature that show what is involved in completely mounting the windshield showing all of the hardware and the correct assembly. Start to finish mounting and adjustments of the unit to my Honda Sabre took 30 minutes. Very easy. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(2 stars) reviewed on 04/21/09 byMaarten van de Geijn (vandegem) from Washington, DC, for a 2008 750 Shadow ACE wrote: This mounting kit has a poorly designed connection between the windshield mounting brackets and the hook-on clamps that tie them to the front fork. Lots of blah blah about torque wrenches etc. in the instructions, but these things shouldn't just snap off when tightening them, as one of them did in my case. And no, I was definitely not applying full force. I had to jerry-rig the connection with a hose-clamp, which seems to work fine. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(5 stars) reviewed on 04/17/09 bySteve Quesnell (FATTBOYY) from Oswego, NY, United States, for a 2007 Titanium 1300 VTX1300R (S) Retro wrote: Installed in about 20 minutes and makes quick work of putting windshield on and removing. Need to use care when installing clamps on the chrome upper fork tubes so as not to scratch them. The only issue to be extremly careful about is bracket placement because if they are mounted to far back when you turn the handle bars fully left and right damage could happen to your fuel tank.
