This mounting kit has a poorly designed connection between the windshield mounting brackets and the hook-on clamps that tie them to the front fork. Lots of blah blah about torque wrenches etc. in the instructions, but these things shouldn't just snap off when tightening them, as one of them did in my case. And no, I was definitely not applying full force. I had to jerry-rig the connection with a hose-clamp, which seems to work fine.

Hope the Good Lord will forgive me, but these were a bear to install. I did learn a few new cuss words. Got most of them from my riding buddy. Believe me, takes two bikers to get this job done. But, hey, now that I have them installed, was a piece of cake. ha The designer forgot to tell us the mounting rings were beveled. Found out the hard way. Oh, yea... Wingthings charges a 20% restocking fee. A pretty good lick. My future business will be with Cruiser Customizing.
