required for Switchblade

You need this if you are installing the NC SwitchBlade series of windshields. Fairly straightforward install with decent instructions. Until the bands are stretched out a bit, some force may be necessary to get them closed around the fork tubes. Be very careful to test tank clearance before AND after tightening everything down. Took me 30 min of fiddling around until I got the brackets exactly where they needed to be to miss the tank.

From top-down perspective, they do NOT look symmetrical on the forks (the left one seems to be rotated more forward around the fork tube), but the windshield snaps on easily nevertheless and looks great.

Easy to install and allows quick windshield removal.. Looks good on bike but a little expensive for the amount of material and design.

Not the easiest upgrade. Did not include "Burr Barrier" as noted on packing list. When I spoke with National Cycle, they suggested using tape or a cell phone screen protector in place of. I used neither without a problem. Tools required you may not have: 4mm hex key and torque wrench. WARNING - Torque specs are in Inch Pounds not Foot Pounds. A mistake here could be costly!

Easy to fit, instructions very easy to follow and good photos. The only down side that there is no lock to stop being stolen.

excellent product and easy to mount. You just have to be careful not to overtighten the nuts and damage the metal clamps.

The quickset 4 is easy to install.Study the instructions first and you'll have no trouble. TIP... put a thin film of silicone on the inside of the clamps and let it set up before installing them. They will hold on better and won't scratch your chrome covers.

Fairly inconspicuous but larger than I envisioned. On the Shadow ACE 750 the upper portion of the mount actually sits on the upper tripple-tree. I though this would be a problem since I have the chrome cover but doesn't appear to be at this early stage. The trick toinstalling on the flared fork covers is to mount and tighten the lower mount first, then mount and slightly tighten the upper mount without the washer. This will draw the straps in enough that the washer can be included and the upper mount properly mounted and tightened.

Be careful of the clearance to the tank. It will fit but the clearance will be tight. The direction could be a little better. But overall it works just like its supposed to.

Install was a breeze. Bit of advice though - if you can't get the clamp to reach to the frog, its because the clamp is upside down. Looks great, even with the shield off!

Install was a cinch once I figured out the spring-steel clamps are fluted to fit the fork curvature. Try installing them upside down... One sliced finger and a pinched hand later, I got the idea that there was something missing from the instructions. Other than that, it couldn't have been a simpler install. Very pleased with it. My only complaint is that $100 for a couple of straps and some chromed bolts is a tad high.
