I don't recall if there is a torque rating, but I didn't have a torque wrench. On one side, I tightened it too much that I stripped the hole for the allen wrench. Nothing else wrong with it. Worked with National Cycle, and they sent replacement parts but would not fit. I had to return the part back to my vendor. Great idea, though. Poor score because it wouldn't fit as described.
