Cruiser Riders now can enjoy unprecedented convenience, quality and function through an innovative line of quick change windshields. The SwitchBlade System is hilighted by National Cycle's Quickset IV mounting hardware. Featuring National Cycle's exclusive Cushion Wheels, the attractive, buffed stainless steel mounts allow the rider the ability to install or remove a windshield easily, in less than 10 seconds - with NO TOOLS. Best of All, the Switchblade family of shields includes the Two-Up, Shorty, Deflector, and Chopped. Patent Pending. (Mounting kit sold separately)

By purchasing multiple shields that mate to a single mounting kit, a rider can transform his or her bike from a cross-country touring machine to a daily commuter to a street fighter (and back again) in a matter of seconds.

Is the 2-Up too tall, or the Shorty too short? The new SwitchBlade Chopped windshield offers ample wind protection while still offering a clear view over the top of the windshield. Sleek and stylish with a classic look, the Chopped is an ideal choice for an every-season windshield.

Switchblase Chopped Windshield for Yamaha V-Star 1100 - Nice!

I had a hard time deciding between the Switchblade Shorty and the Chopped, and ultimately went with the Chopped version (NC-N21405).  I ride in Texas and so getting enough air is pretty important on those hot summer rides (May - Sept).  I'm 5'11" and fitted this to my 2007 V-Star 1100.   I've got plenty of vision clearance over the shield and don't even notice it while riding.  I use a full faced modular helmet.  My helmet is still in a good wind stream and I am getting good air through the vents, and all the wind pressure on the chest is gone - it is perfect.   The only drawback I noticed is when riding with the visor shield open on my helmet I am getting a lot of wind buffetting above 40 mph, enough to give me double vision!  But it's not a problem riding with the visor closed.  I've read that this can be corrected with lowers installed, but I am thinking I'd rather have that air flow for summer cooling.  I'll just need to keep the visor closed while moving.    I ran through some ...

Finally installed on wifeys 650 classic. having installed 2 previous switchblade shields on mine and a friends bike, I know the install, and this was done in 20 minutes. should be just short enough for her to see over. She has been resisting a windshield, so I hope she'll like this one. Having ridden her bike, I don't know how she does it without a windshield. Installed with the quick release of course the only way to mount this shield, so she can pull it off in a few seconds if she wants to ride without it. I've had my 2-up for 2 years, and it still looks brand new. UPDATE She loves it. And looks easily over the top of it at a perfect height, she's 5'6"

I'm 5'9", and it's still just a 'tad' too tall for me. If I sit up straight, it's fine. But if I slouch a little, the top of the windshield hits right at my line of vision. Maybe I'll see if I can saw off an inch!

Installed this windshield last weekend and I am very impressed with the way it looks on my bike. I took it around town on a few short rides and noticed the wind still in my eyes and hair but I could hear the engine and pipes much clearer now. I'm not a windshield person but I plan to do more highway riding and feel that this will improve the quality of the ride for me. I am 5'11" tall and the windshield hits me at the tip of my nose. I have a PCS potato chip seat and lowering kit which is 2.25 inches lower in the rear.
