I've ended up leaving it on all that time. For it's size this makes a big difference at motorway speeds and doesn't dominate the looks of the bike. You also don't get the head buffeting you get with the bigger 2 up at higher speeds (I can't use lowers with my engine bars). Very impressed with this.
