GoldwingCustomizing.com Launches
|
Hi guys! In case you haven't heard, Uwe has been putting so many miles (over 18,000) on his Aero over the past 3½ months that
he decided to get a real touring bike to ride around the country on his CruiserCustomizing promotional tour. So while he was
in New York attending Americade and Laconia he stopped in at our partners dealership, New York Honda, and picked up a new
2002 Gold Wing! He got a black one and is having a blast riding it all over the place. Uwe's excitement of owning a new bike has spurred us
into developing a new sister site for Gold Wings. Can you guess the sites name? Yup,
www.goldwingcustomizing.com! We wanted to tell you guys and gals all about it because we just KNOW that you know someone that rides a Gold Wing
and you can tell them about CruiserCustomizing and tell them we now have the same valuable service available for Gold Wing owners. We firmly
believe that you guys will be our biggest help in getting the word out since you are our biggest fans, right? ;o)
If you know of someone that rides a Gold Wing please help us spread the word and get us some new members so we can have as
successful of a launch as we had with CruiserCustomizing. Right now we are fervently adding new products to the site and of
course we have very few members so far because CruiserCustomizing members are the first ones to hear about it. We launched the site TODAY!
Thanks in advance for your support!
Thanks and all the best

Bikes parked along Lake George
|
It has been three weeks since our last newsletter and some where wondering if we are on vacaction ;-).
We are certainly not, we are just more busy than ever before. I also managed to check out two more rallies.
The first one was Americade at Lake George, NY. This event was quite unique. Labeled as a "Touring Rally" the
focus was on riding and rider education. Almost 50,000 attendees enjoyed the guided and self-guided tours around
Lake George and attended seminars about various topics like "trailers, touring comfort, motorcycle electrics,
writing motorcycle books and stories or bike cleaning and detailing".
Full event registration included events like a boat ride on Lake George, the closing ceremony with fire works or
various buffets. The vendors were setup at the lake as well and offered their products.
All the major manufacturers offered demo rides and this is where the problem begain:
I was standing in line at 7 am one morning to test ride the new Goldwing 1800. With over 18,000 miles
on my Aero in the last 3 months alone I was curious about the touring comfort the Goldwing offered.
I was blown away, the Goldwing handled and performed almost like sport bike while having
all the touring comfort like built in cruiser control, bags, adjustable windshield, radio, large 6 gallon tank,
etc. I had to take advantage of the special pricing that our partner New York Honda is currently offering to
CruiserCustomizing members and 3 days later I was riding my new black Goldwing to Laconia ...

Spectacular ride to top of Mt. Washington
|
I met up with my buddy and CruiserCustomizing member Duncan "Oblio" with his friends Scott, Joe, Alan and his wife at a house on
the lake "Winnipesaukee". From there it was only a short ride to Weirs Beach where
the bike week action was. This was more a "typical Harley" rally: loud bikes and silly fun that
involves girls, bikes and alcohol, not always in the right combination ;-)
One of my new bike model friends from Myrtle Beach got injured in Laconia by a loose
baffle that flew out of a V8 Kannon bike when they fired it up. She was a good sport
and posed with Duncan for a picture despite the rain that was setting in.
On Thursday near-by Mount Washington was open to bikes only and we had a
fantastic ride to the top of the mountain, over 6,000 feet high. I left the following
day and rode the Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway for hundreds of miles on my new
Gold Wing on my way to Knoxville, TN for the Honda Hoot.
I met many CruiserCustomizing members at both events, for example Pat aeronaut1100 Walsh and Mike "VTX1" McCarty.
If you want to meet me
at the Hoot email me at uwe@CruiserCustomizing.com.

3. VTX 1300 Retro and Victory Bike Models Added:
We have recently added the new VTX 1300 Retro model to the site and are fervently adding new accessories to the site for it as fast as we can.
We also have decided to add the Victory models to the site also since these are popular and the amount of accessories available for them
seems to be somewhat manageable. :o)
Please help us out by spreading the word to your Victory riding friends and relatives!
Thanks and all the best
